Get Ready For Jeremy Lin And Linsanity

Football season is gone, and so is Tim Tebow and Tebowmania...for now. But unless you've been living under a rock, there's been another athlete to take Tebow's place in the "Holy Crap Please Stop Talking About This Guy" category: Jeremy Lin of the New York Knicks. The Mavericks and their fans will get a taste of Lin and Linsanity on Sunday, as the Mavericks travel to New York to take on the suddenly hot Knicks.

To be fair, like Tebow, Lin is an enjoyable story at first. Lin is a Harvard graduate, and one of the very few Asian American players to ever place, and by all means, seems like a pretty good guy. But he's certainly not the second coming, and he's probably not even the answer to New York's many problems.

Yeah, the Mavericks play against the 76ers on Friday night, but I'm certainly already looking forward to Sunday's game against the Knicks... and I'm praying that the Mavs put a damper on Linsanity and, at the least, halt New York's winning streak.
