Mavericks Vs. Clippers Score: Dallas Jumps Out To 55-47 Lead At Halftime

The Dallas Mavericks used a pinpoint shooting touch to grab a 55-47 lead over the Los Angeles Clippers at The American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The Mavericks got off to a great start leading 27-19 after the first quarter and were able to withstand a charge by the Clippers in the second quarter to enter halftime with that same eight point advantage. Brendan Haywood and Shawn Marion lead the Mavericks with 10 points while Dirk Nowitzki has eight. Dallas hit 58 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half.

Former Dallas small forward Caron Butler received his championship ring from Mavericks owner Mark Cuban prior to the game and responded by leading the Clippers in scoring during the first-half with 13 points. Blake Griffin added 12 points and five rebounds while Mo Williams added nine points off the bench. Chris Paul had a rather quiet half finishing with five points and six assists.
