2012 NBA schedule: Dallas plays Toronto, Minnesota this weekend

The Mavericks are playing back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday this weekend.

Jared Wickerham

The Dallas Mavericks have a pair of games this weekend starting with a road game against the 4-19 Toronto Raptors. This game tips at 6 p.m. CT and can be seen on Fox Sports Southwest.

With the Raptors being just a four-win team this should be an easy win for the Mavericks. Plus, it helps that Dallas has Toronto's number by winning 14 of the last 17, including one matchup earlier this year.

On the national stage, there is not a game that stands out from the rest on Friday night. The big matchup that is getting the hype is a 9:30 p.m. tip on ESPN between the Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzles have the third-best Western Conference record, but the Nuggets are a very good team at home with a 5-1 record. With the Grizzles losing three of their last five, the Nuggets have a good shot at winning this game.

The Mavericks' second game of the back-to-back is a road game on Saturday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves and can be seen at 6 p.m. on Fox Sports Southwest. The Mavericks and Timberwolves are both right at the bottom of the Western Conference playoff race and are each hovering around .500.

The big national game on Saturday is the Golden State Warriors on the road against the Atlanta Hawks. This game tips at 6 p.m., but can only be seen locally or on NBA League Pass. Each team is near the top of their respective conference and division. Each team is playing well as they each have won five of six, and the Warriors are currently riding a five-game winning streak.
