The NBA results from over the weekend include good news for the Dallas Mavericks, who climbed back to .500 with a 116-109 win over the Houston Rockets. With the win, Dallas has now won three of their four previous games.
O.J. Mayo was the star of the win over Houston, putting up 40 points, tying a career-high. Chris Kaman also turned some heads, picking up 20 points in 19 minutes after spraining an ankle just two days previous. Mayo led the team with eight rebounds, but Kaman's seven were nearly as many in less than half the time. Darren Collison and Vince Carter came off the bench and picked up 12 points each.
At 10-10, the Mavericks are just inside the top half of the Western Conference standings. They need to keep winning if they want to hold on, as the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz both put up wins on Friday night.
