The Dallas Mavericks hope to correct their road problems against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Mavs fell to 1-4 away from home after a 103-83 shellacking at the hands of the Indiana Pacers on Friday. Dallas made just two of 13 three-point attempts and shot 37 percent overall. O.J. Mayo led all scorers with 19 points, but the Pacers had six players reach double figures in the win.
The Cavaliers last played on Tuesday, falling 114-101 to the Brooklyn Nets. Cavs center Anderson Varejao had a monster effort in the loss, scoring 35 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. Kyrie Irving chipped in 34 points, increasing his season average to 24.3 points per game. Despite the stellar play of Varejao and Iriving through the first couple of weeks of the season, the Cavs are just 2-6.
Tip-off between the Mavs and Cavs is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.
