Dirk Nowitzki Injury: Mavericks Forward In Starting Lineup Against Spurs

Dirk Nowitzki is in the starting lineup for the Dallas Mavericks' Sunday night matchup with the San Antonio Spurs after missing the last four games with a sore knee.

After originally being scheduled to miss only four games there was some doubt whether Nowitzki would make his return against the Spurs. Dallas has been battling injuries of late with Jason Kidd down for at least a week with a calf injury and Delonte West sitting out Friday's game with a strained hamstring. Vince Carter made his return to the lineup on Friday night after suffering a sprained foot.

Nowitzki has played in 16 games for the Mavericks this season and is averaging 17.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
