NBA Standings 2012: Dallas Pulls To Within A Half Game Of Southwest Division Lead

The Dallas Mavericks got off to a slow start this season but have since put things together to the tune of a five game winning streak. The Mavericks have won eight of its last 10 games and now trails the San Antonio Spurs by just a half game for the Southwest Division lead with an 8-5 record.

The winning streak has also improved the Mavericks standing in the conference where they are currently seventh but could jump all the way to second should they pass the Spurs in the next few days. The Oklahoma City Thunder lead the conference with an 11-2 record and are also riding a six game winning streak.
