Mavericks Vs. Celtics: Game Preview, TV Info And More

Dallas looks to end a two-game road trip with a win on national TV against a star-studded Boston roster.

After getting their first road win of the season Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons, the Dallas Mavericks step up their level of competition Wednesday night with a game against the Boston Celtics.

Like the Mavericks, the Celtics, an aging team trying to make one more run at a championship, have struggled out the gate during the compressed regular season. Both teams are at .500, with Dallas at 5-5 and Boston at 4-4.

Even with Jason Kidd, behind only John Stockton in all-time assists, still out with a lower back injury, the game still features 5 of the top 35 scorers in NBA history in Vince Carter, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen.

The match-up between Dirk and KG, two of the most skilled 7'0 as well as two of the greatest power forwards of all-time, is the headliner.

The Celtics should be fresh after being off since last Friday, when they lost 87-74 to the Indiana Pistons, but the Mavericks were able to rest most of their key players in the fourth quarter of their 100-86 win over the Pistons.

The 7:00 PM game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
