2011 NBA Playoffs: Scores And Results

The 2011 NBA Playoffs kicked off yesterday - and they'll last for another two months or something ridiculous like that. The Mavericks, of course, bested the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of their series, winning 89-81. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 28 points and 10 rebounds, nothing really new there.

Three other Game 1's took place on Saturday as well. Derrick Rose led the Bulls to a come from behind win over the Pacers, scoring 39 points in Chicago's 104-99 win. The Bulls outscored the Pacers 33-20 in the fourth quarter.

As expected, the Heat beat the 76ers, winning 97-89. The bastard child of the Miami superstars, Chris Bosh, led the Heat with 25 points.

There was one upset on Saturday with the Hawks beating the Magic 103-93. Dwight Howard did all he could to avoid the upset, scoring 46 points and grabbing 19 rebounds, but the Magic couldn't pull it out. Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 25 points.

The Heat/76ers and Bulls/Pacers will resume their series on Monday while the Mavs/Blazers and Hawks/Magic will wait until Tuesday.
