Good Sign: Roddy Beaubois Is Back -- Better Sign: He looks Healthy

As Rodrigue Beaubois' return from his foot injury stammered and stalled, I became more concerned about what he would look like when he did return. He was raw, particularly defensively and when he had to quarterback the offense, but his athleticism often knocked you over. More nights than not he was the most explosive offensive player on the court physically, even when he wasn't one of the best. Was he going to look like that guy when he came back?

I'm no scout, but I think we can say yes. The opponent is Sacramento (which is probably why Rick Carlisle was happy to put him into the game so quickly and often in his season debut), but he has gotten to the rim virtually any time he's wanted to and he can still hang in the air and finish.

I don't know if he will be an impact player this spring, but it's a big relief to see that he still looks like Roddy physically.
