Nuggets Vs. Mavericks Final Score: Dallas Drops Second Straight 115-93

Things clearly haven't gone as planned for the Dallas Mavericks to open the 2011-2012 regular season. Dallas was blown out in its second straight game to open the season this time by a score of 115-93 at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.

A common theme in both loss suffered by the Mavericks this season has been their inability to rebound and to prevent their opponent from shooting a high percentage. Denver out rebounded the Dallas 47-37 and hit over 49 percent of their shots. The Nuggets ran up 69 first half points and never looked back. At one point in the first half, Dallas came up empty on 13 straight trips up the floor.

Ty Lawson finished with a game-high 27 points for the Nuggets. Andre Miller and Al Harrington chipped in 18 points each off the bench. Danilo Gallinari added 15 points and seven rebounds for Denver.

Dirk Nowitzki finished with 20 points and four rebounds for Dallas. Jason KIdd and Sean Williams each chipped in 12 points while Vince Carter came off the bench to score 11. Dallas committed 20 turnovers in the game leading to 24 points for the Nuggets. After getting ejected in his regular season debut, Lamar Odom struggled in his second game going 1-10 from the field and finishing with six points.
