That's a possibility according to Marc Stein.
↵↵↵Sources with knowledge of the team’s thinking confirmed to ESPNDallas.com that the prospect of making a trade pitch to bring back Harris has been discussed internally and will inevitably be broached with the Nuggets if the 2009 All-Star ends up in Denver.
↵
The Nuggets will reportedly shop Harris when the Carmelo trade is complete and while a Harris reunion would be enticing it's hard to see him back in Dallas. As Stein mentions, the Portland Trailblazers are very high on Harris and can offer a better package than the Mavericks.
↵Theoretically, would a Kidd/Harris backcourt work?
↵I think so, Harris is a slasher and would help out tremendously against the quicker guards in the league that have hampered Kidd throughout his time in Dallas.
↵So what package are we looking at?
↵If the Mavericks jump into the 'Melo talks to lure Harris away, the Mavericks could offer Caron Butler's expiring contract and rookie Dominique Jones for Johan Petro and Devin Harris.
↵Johan Petro's contract seems to be the sticking point in the current Carmelo talks and the Mavericks would be able acquire him while offering a nice 10 million expiring contract to the team taking him on.
↵And of course, they would get the services of Devin in return.
↵If they don't and attempt to make a trade with Denver straight up, it becomes that much tougher to match the rumored Blazers' package of Batum and Miller.
↵It's tough to see this trade actually materializing, but a Devin reunion would be fun for everybody.
