Haywood Suspended For Tonight's Game.

According to Art Garcia, Brendan Haywood has been suspended for tonight's game against the Spurs for a violation of team rules.

And so it begins.

↵

Haywood was signed to a 6 year 55 million dollar contract this off-season and was promised the starting center role.  He then went out and got completely outplayed by Chandler in the pre-season and lost his spot. Of course, this was the fear of signing Haywood to a long term deal-Dampier Syndrome.

This will put Ian Mahinmi in the backup center role tonight going up against his former team and Tim Duncan.

↵

No word on Haywood's status for tomorrow night's game against the Miami Heat
