Four Dallas Mavericks are options on the newly unveiled NBA All-Star ballot. Jason Kidd is listed among Western Conference guards, Dirk Nowitzki and Caron Butler are listed among the forwards, and now-reserve center Brendan Haywood is listed among the centers. Two of the four most deserving Mavericks - Jason Terry and Tyson Chandler - are not on the ballot.
↵Nowitzki and Kidd are long-time veterans of the All-Star Game. Nowitzki has made the last nine Western Conference teams and was the 3-Point Shootout champion in 2006. Kidd has made 10 All-Star teams, including last season for Dallas and was the "Skills Challenge" champion in 2003. Butler made Eastern Conference All-Star teams in 2007 and 2008. Reserve Shawn Marion has also made four All-Star teams, last in 2007.
↵The game will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles this year on Feb. 20. The game will air on TNT again this season.
