NFL Week 1: New York Giants Inactives

The New York Giants announced their inactives for their Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday night.

Highly touted cornerback Prince Amukamara, as expected, is inactive for Wednesday night's contest. Amukamara is dealing with a high ankle sprain, and is aiming to return in Week 2.

James Brewer, Marvin Austin, Jerrel Jernigan, Da'Rel Scott, Adewale Ojomo, and Mitch Petrus are also inactive for the defending Super Bowl champions.

Dallas' inactives were announced earlier on Wednesday, and surprisingly, Jason Witten is active. Witten was listed as doubtful with a lacerated spleen that he suffered in Week 1 of the preseason. Witten, though, did return to practice on Saturday, Sept. 1, and has been given medical clearance to play against the Giants.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, and televised coverage can be found on NBC.
