Jason Witten has been out with a lacerated spleen injury since the first preseason game for the Dallas Cowboys, and just returned to practice with the team on Sunday. His status for Wednesday's opener against the New York Giants remains unconfirmed even on game day, but it looks like the star tight end will be available for the Cowboys in Week 2 when they travel to face the Seattle Seahawks.
The Cowboys still have yet to make it clear whether or not Witten will be taking the field against New York, and we may not find out until the game has actually started whether or not the seven-time pro bowler will be playing. His status has been listed as 'doubtful' for several days.
