The Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 all but killed any momentum built from a Week 1 road win over the defending champion New York Giants, and the Week 3 SB Nation NFL Power Rankings reflect as much.
The Cowboys fall to No. 15 this week, a three-spot drop. In a word, NFL editor Joel Thorman describes the Cowboys as "inconsistent."
15. Dallas Cowboys (LW: 12, 1-1): Ouch. 27-7 beat down at the hands of the Seahawks. This is probably who the Cowboys are, though -- looking very good one week, not so good the next. Inconsistent is the word I'm looking for.
Meanwhile, the same Giants the Cowboys beat -- and who are also 1-1 -- moved up to No. 9 in the rankings. The Philadelphia Eagles at 2-0 are the class of the division in the rankings, coming in at No 5, while the 1-1 Washington Redskins are not far behind Dallas at No. 17.
