Jay Ratliff Injury: Status Still Unknown For Sunday

After suffering a high ankle sprain in the first half of the third preseason game of the year for the Cowboys, nose tackle Jay Ratliff missed Week 1 of the regular season. While the Cowboys earned a 24-17 win over the defending Super Bowl champions in his absence, the team is hopeful that the four-time Pro Bowler can return sooner rather than later.

With a trip to Seattle on Sunday, following well over a week between games, the Cowboys are not sure if Ratliff will make his season debut, although Jerry Jones told ESPN's Calvin Watkins that he doesn't want to push it.

"You need to be at a high level of health with your wheels inside there," Jones told Watkins. "I'm sure that will weigh into it, more importantly, just where he is opposed to another week, what that would do for us."

The Cowboys will travel to play the Seahawks on Sunday and the first official injury report for the game will be released by both teams on Wednesday.
