Denver Broncos Sign Former Cowboys LB Keith Brooking

Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking will play in 2012 after all -- just not for the Cowboys. Per Albert Breer, the once excellent linebacker is going to play for the Denver Broncos in 2012.

Brooking posted fairly weak numbers in a number of categories in 2011, registering just 50 tackles, without recording a single sack all year long. The Cowboys clearly didn't think Brooking has much of anything left in the tank following the season, but John Fox and the Broncos are wiling to take a chance on the soon-to-be 37 year old linebacker.

If nothing else, Brooking has been durable, as he's appeared in 16 games in each season since 2001.

Brooking only spent three seasons in Dallas. We'll see how long he lasts in Denver, as the new-look Broncos look to return to the postseason.
