Tony Romo Thinks Cowboys 'Can Win The Super Bowl' If They Make Playoffs

Every single team in the NFL has optimism that they can do well before the season starts, and the Dallas Cowboys are no exception. QB Tony Romo thinks that being in the NFC East might help springboard the team to a Super Bowl in 2012 if they can manage to make the playoffs.

Talking with the Star-Telegram, Romo said that the New York Giants' Super Bowl run in 2011/2012 provides a blueprint for the Cowboys to follow in the East:

"The division is always strong. What you realize now is that if you can just get out of the division and get in the playoffs, you can win the Super Bowl," Romo said.

How close are these Cowboys to getting there?

"We’ll see," Romo said. "I think we’re building to get there. We’re excited."

It might be a little soon for that sort of prediction, but in an always tight NFC East race the 'Boys have as much of a chance as anyone to take home the title and perhaps a Super Bowl.
