The Dallas Cowboys set out in the offseason to upgrade their cornerback position. One $50 million signing of free agent Brandon Carr and one trade up to draft Morris Claiborne later, and the position is revamped.
What about that Cowboys offense though? SB Nation NFL contributor Ryan Van Bibber gives the Cowboys a B+ grade after the 2012 NFL Draft, can Dallas find someone to replace Laurent Robinson and Martellus Bennett?
Dallas Cowboys: B+
A narrow loss to the Giants in Week 17 last season gave Dallas one offseason mission: find cornerbacks. They might have settled for signing free agent Brandon Carr, but they also grabbed Morris Claiborne. The two should match up well against Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks. You have to gamble to win big.
They needed depth on offense to replace Laurent Robinson and Martellus Bennett. Did they find a sleeper in James Hanna from Oklahoma?
With Dez Bryant and Miles Austin locked in at the top two receiver spots, can Danny Coale step in and contribute immediately? We'll soon find out.
