2012 NFL Draft: Cowboys Select Caleb McSurdy At No. 222 Overall

With the 222nd pick in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Caleb McSurdy a linebacker from Montana. The Cowboys have gone mostly on defense in this years draft and the linebacker is a position where they are looking for depth.

By coming from a small school, McSurdy will need to be a versatile player who can contribute on special teams if he wants to make the team. At Montana, McSurdy had 131 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks, two interception with one returned for a touchdown and a fumble recovery.

This was the last pick for the Cowboys in the 2012 NFL Draft.
