2012 NFL Mock Draft: Mark Barron Available For Cowboys In Mocking The Draft's Latest

In the hours before the NFL Draft, the big question surrounding the Dallas Cowboys isn't the player they would most like to take at No. 14 but who will still be on the board.

Alabama safety Mark Barron, who they are reportedly very high on, has been flying up draft boards in recent weeks, but Mocking The Draft has him available for Dallas at No. 14 in their final mock:

Dallas Cowboys - Mark Barron, S, Alabama - I see the Cowboys getting a very good pick here. Barron has flown up draft boards almost as fast as Chandler Jones. He is a great athlete.

They have Fletcher Cox, the Mississippi State DL who was once linked heavily to the Cowboys, going No. 9 to the Carolina Panthers and David DeCastro going No. 13 to the Arizona Cardinals.

For Dallas, the nightmare scenario is if Cox, DeCastro and Barron are off the board, which would likely put them in the position of choosing between three high-upside but low-production defensive linemen: Michael Brockers (LSU), Dontari Poe (Memphis) and Quinton Coples (UNC).

Concerns about these three players have let Syracuse DE Chandler Jones rocket up mock drafts in the last few days; he goes No. 12 to the Seattle Seahawks in this one.
