NFL Mock Draft 2012: Cowboys Select Mark Barron

The Dallas Cowboys are still trying to shore up their business in the secondary, as they have done through free agent signings during the off-season. But the first round of the draft is another place they could be looking to fill some holes the way the latest SB Nation NFL Mock Draft shows it.

Mark Barron is Dallas' pick with the 14th selection in the mock draft. At 6-1, 215 pounds, Barron certainly looks the part of an NFL strong safety. Ryan Van Bibber had this line on Barron:

"The Cowboys secondary needs help in the middle. Talk of Dallas' infatuation with Mark Barron has been made abundantly clear lately ... or it's a really involved ruse."

Still, Barron has the physical capabilities to do the job the Cowboys would need him to do. The question is are they really going to take a safety 14th overall.
