At this point, the buzz surrounding the Dallas Cowboys and Alabama SS Mark Barron is deafening.
In the latest mock draft from SI.com, Don Banks thinks Dallas biggest concern will be a team jumping ahead of them to No. 13 to grab Barron:
14
S Mark Barron Alabama Sr. 6-2 218
I think the Cowboys have been fairly well locked in on the Crimson Tide safety for weeks now. I don't think they'll have to sweat someone coming up to get him at No. 13, but it's at least a possibility, given that Barron makes sense for both the No. 15 Eagles and No. 16 Jets.
This is the reason why NFL teams play so many games with the media during pre-draft season, as if a team gets locked into a player, it gives the teams in front of them and behind them an advantage in how they are planning out their draft strategy.
