NFL Mock Draft 2012: National Football Post Has DeCastro At 14, Barron At 27

In the latest mock draft from the National Football Post, the Dallas Cowboys go with the safe pick of Stanford OG David DeCastro at No. 14:

14. Dallas Cowboys: Stanford: OG David DeCastro
The idea of drafting an athlete like DeCastro and potentially playing him next to 2011 first-round pick Tyron Smith at left tackle has to sound mighty intriguing.

While the interior of the offensive line isn't considered a premium position, DeCastro is one of the strongest guard prospects to come through in a long time.

As the Post mentions, a left side of Smith and DeCastro would solidify the Cowboys offensive line for the next decade.

Interestingly enough, Mark Barron, the player everyone has been linking Dallas with, falls all the way to the New England Patriots at No. 27 in their mock draft.

This could give credence to the idea that the Cowboys really are thinking of trading down from the No. 14 spot, although that has not worked out for them in the past.
