The Dallas Cowboys could be heading after a former player in linebacker Erik Walden via free agency. There is mutual interest between the Cowboys and Walden making a deal. Walden was originally drafted by the Cowboys as a sixth-round draft pick in 2008, but he did not make the team.
Since then Walden has played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and most recently the Green Bay Packers. This past season was Walden's best as he started 15 games for the Packers and had a career-high with 60 total tackles, 41 being solo, earned three sacks, forced a pair of fumbles and knocked down three passes.
There have been no meetings scheduled between the Cowboys and Walden, plus the Packers want to bring back him back.
