So, here we are at the Super Bowl. No, the Cowboys aren't playing in it. Yes, we're still going to make our picks anyway -- and review our preseason picks. Back in September, we picked each and every division winner, award winner and gave our Super Bowl predictions. We also went ahead and predicted Dallas' record, and one of our staff members was dead on with his Cowboys prediction.

Cowboys record prediction: 8-8
September Super Bowl pick: Packers over Chargers
New Super Bowl pick: Giants 24, Patriots 20The Giants have been able to generate consistent pressure on Brady and this game should be no different. With a gimpy Gronk and a Brady that has been shaky in the playoffs, the Giants win on a late touchdown as all Cowboys fans begin to hurl.

Cowboys record prediction: 10-6
September Super Bowl pick: Saints over Patriots
New Super Bowl pick: Patriots 24, Giants 20Eli Manning and the Giants had to go and ruin everyone's good time. But, it has to end now, right? The Patriots have waited three seasons to get revenge on the 18-1 David Tyree Super Bowl and they're the better football team. However, the Giants have made it their specialty over the last few seasons of beating teams that are better than them in the playoffs. For the love of football, it has to end.

Cowboys record prediction: 7-9
September Super Bowl pick: Patriots over Eagles
New Super Bowl pick: Giants 27, Patriots 24I know I picked the Patriots to begin the season, but I had no idea that their defense would be so porous. I have confidence in the Giants' ability to pressure Brady without bringing the blitz, and I don't imagine the Patriots will be able to do much against the Giants passing game. As much as it pains me to say it, I'm fairly confident that the Giants will end up pulling this one off.

September Super Bowl pick: Patriots over Cowboys
New Super Bowl pick: Patriots over GiantsHow much has this season sucked for Peyton Manning? Three neck surgeries, no games played. If he can even play again, it probably won't be for the one franchise he's known his entire career. Now the Super Bowl is being played in the house that he built by teams led by his arch-nemesis and snot-nosed little brother. While his owner disassembles his team, he has to listen to dumbits pontificate whether little Eli's two Lombardi's would outrank his one that comes with four MVPs.
And that's the best case over Brady getting his fourth in five tries. Legacy-slapped infuriation. Oh yeah, I hate both teams. Go Cowboys.

Cowboys record prediction: 9-7
September Super Bowl pick: Patriots over Packers
New Super Bowl pick: Patriots 31, Giants 28The Giants have some match-up strengths against the Patriots. They get pressure without extreme blitzes, Tom Brady's relative weakness. They have blazing receivers to damage a weak secondary. They might not have to deal with a beast of a miss-match at tight end. But while match-ups matter, what's most important is being the better team, and the Patriots are the better team. That doesn't mean they'll win, but it means they get my pick.

Cowboys record prediction: 6-10
September Super Bowl pick: Patriots over Packers
New Super Bowl pick: Patriots 27, Giants 20My pick before the season was for the Patriots and Packers to meet in the Super Bowl, and I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those pesky Giants. The Pats have to do two things to win Tom Brady his fourth ring: pass protect - at least to somewhat of a standstill - in the interior line and keep Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks from running away from them. Those are both easier said than done, of course, but give me Bill Belichick with two weeks to figure it out and a chip on his shoulder from the Giants becoming media darlings.

Cowboys record prediction: 7-9
September Super Bowl pick: Patriots over Saints
New Super Bowl pick: Patriots 31, Giants 17Do you really think Bill Belichick will lose to the Giants three times in a row? Do you really think Eli Manning can beat the Patriots three times in a row? Better yet, do you really think Tom Brady will lose to the Giants three times in a row?
I didn't think so. The Giants have turned into the trendy pick, because they've been the hot hand lately. But the Pats haven't lost since losing to the Giants in Foxboro, and their defense is finally healthy-ish. Look for Belichick to pull out every trick in the book, and look for the Patriots to win by two scores.
