Cowboys vs. Bengals injury report: NT Jay Ratliff to miss 3rd straight game

The Cowboys will be without starting nose tackle Jay Ratliff for the third straight game this season, and it will mark the seventh time this year he will be missing a game.

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

The Dallas Cowboys will be without starting nose tackle Jay Ratliff when they face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. Ratliff will be missing his third straight game with a groin injury. This has been an injury-plagued season for Ratliff as he will be missing his seventh game of the year. Once again, Josh Brent will fill in for Ratliff, and so far this year he has 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

The Cowboys are also expected to have starting running back DeMarco Murray back for his second straight game. Murray returned last week against the Philadelphia Eagles where he rushed for 83 yards and had a touchdown.

Murray did not practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday and Friday, but the official injury report has him listed as probable.

The secondary for the Cowboys will be without a pair of backups with Charlie Peprah and Orlando Scandrick out. That could hurt the secondary when Dallas is in a nickel or dime package.
