Six Dallas Cowboys players, all of whom receive significant playing time on defense, missed practice on Wednesday on a list that was highlighted by linebacker DeMarcus Ware. The Cowboys' best defensive player has been severely limited by shoulder and elbow injuries all season and played in just over half the snaps on Sunday against New Orleans.
Linebacker Victor Butler (groin), defensive lineman Jason Hatcher (thigh), and Jay Ratliff (groin) also missed practice on Wednesday. Linebacker Brady Poppinga and defensive lineman Rob Callaway both missed practice due to travel issues following the holiday break.
Linebacker Alex Albright, who injured his knee on kickoff coverage against the Saints, was listed as being limited in practice. Receiver Dez Bryant (broken finger), running back Felix Jones (knee), running back DeMarco Murray (foot) and linebacker Ernie Sims (concussion) all had full participation in practice on Wednesday.
The Cowboys face the Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football in a game to determine the NFC East Champion.
