The Dallas Cowboys got a much needed win over the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday and are now preparing for the first of three straight games at home this Sunday. It looks like they'll have to battle the Cleveland Browns without a number of players though, as six Cowboys sat on the sidelines in practice today.
DeMarco Murray's foot is continuing to cause problems for the running back. He hasn't practiced this week and looks like he could miss Sunday's game. The second-year man out of Oklahoma hasn't played since week six against the Baltimore Ravens.
Five other Cowboys missed Thursday's practice. Defensive end Sean Lissemore sat out with a nagging ankle issue, as did center Phil Costa. Offensive lineman Ryan Cook continues to be bothered by a knee issue while cornerback Mike Jenkins watched practice from the sidelines nursing a bad back. Safety Matt Johnson missed his second day of practice this week with a hamstring injury.
There is some good news. A couple of Cowboys do continue to get healthier. Tight end John Phillips and full back Lawrence Vickers were both limited in practice today after missing Wednesday's practice with an ankle and knee injury, respectively. Nose tackle Jay Ratliff and linebacker Dan Connor were also full participants in practice today.
