With Week 5's action completed, experts across the Internet have once again ranked all 32 NFL teams, and opinions on the Dallas Cowboys are widely varied.
A bye week to evaluate the 2-2 Cowboys didn't help as far as consensus might go. SB Nation's own Joel Thorman has the Cowboys at No. 16, explaining his down-the-middle ranking with a simple "they're an average team."
While ESPN.com's rankings moved Dallas up two spots to No. 13 on the bye week, Yahoo!'s Shutdown Corner moved the Cowboys down two spots to No. 21. The experts at CBSSports.com have the Cowboys at No. 18. The widely varied rankings land the average for Dallas at No. 17.
The Houston Texans are on top of the rankings with the Atlanta Falcons sharing the spotlight. Thorman has the Texans at no. 1, saying, "This team looks straight dominant." Rankings from ESPN.com and CBSSports.com agree with Thorman, both looking forward to the Texans being tested against the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens.
Yahoo!'s Shutdown Corner blog has the Falcons on top, however, saying, "When you can go on the road and not play your best in the wind and rain, and you still come away with a win, you're probably pretty good."
