Cowboys vs. Falcons: Matt Ryan becoming an elite QB

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is becoming one of the best signal callers in the NFL.

Rob Carr

When the Dallas Cowboys defense takes the field on Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons, it will have a tough challenge when it goes up against quarterback Matt Ryan. Ryan has not always had the label of being a big time quarterback, but with the Falcons sitting as the only undefeated team in the NFL this year, that is changing.

Just last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, Ryan had a huge day, starting off the game by leading the Falcons on three straight touchdown drives, where he threw all threw scores.

Ryan is having a career year and so far has thrown for 2,018 yards, 17 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He is on pace to have his best year in yards and touchdowns. Currently, Ryan is eighth in the NFL in total passing yards and is tied for third in touchdown passes.

The Cowboys secondary will have its hands full as it faces another elite quarterback for the second consecutive week.
