Cowboys vs. Falcons: Dallas takes on undefeated Atlanta team

The Dallas Cowboys head to Atlanta to take on the undefeated Falcons in Week 9.

The Dallas Cowboys look to rebound from a gut-wrenching 29-24 loss to the New York Giants, as they head to Georgia to take on the undefeated Atlanta Falcons in Week 9.

Dallas' Week 8 loss to the Giants featured six turnovers, including four interceptions thrown by quarterback Tony Romo. Certainly, the Cowboys will have to play much, much better football on the road against an undefeated Falcons team in Week 9.

Atlanta is coming off of a 30-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles -- a game played in Philadelphia. Matt Ryan has led his Falcons to a perfect 7-0 record so far, while throwing for 2,018 yards, 17 touchdowns and six interceptions so far. Ryan currently ranks third in the NFL in passer rating (103.0).

A win by the Cowboys would not only bring them back to .500, but it would be a statement win that puts them firmly back in the playoff picture.

The Cowboys opened as three point underdogs, but the line has already shifted to 5.5 or 7, depending on which website you use.

Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m. CT, from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Televised coverage can be found on NBC.
