NFL Injury Report: Cowboys' Dan Connor injured neck in loss to Giants

Last week against the Carolina Panthers, the Dallas Cowboys lost Sean Lee for the season due to a toe injury.

On Sunday, the Cowboys lost Dan Connor, Lee's replacement, to a neck injury -- though the extent of the injury is unknown. Connor was forced to come out of Dallas' Week 8 29-24 loss to the Giants in the second quarter, and was unable to return to the game.

X-rays were negative, and Connor's injury is being called a neck strain. Connor also called his injury a stinger.

Cowboys fans had a major scare on Sunday, when DeMarcus Ware exited the game after taking a cleat to the ribs. Luckily for Ware, the Cowboys, and Cowboys fans, Ware just had the wind knocked out of him, and was able to return to the game just two players later.

Dallas running back DeMarco Murray did not play against the Giants, but apparently has a chance to play in Week 9, when the Cowboys take on the undefeated Atlanta Falcons. Murray has missed the last two games with a foot injury.
