The Dallas Cowboys had six players miss practice on Wednesday, with running back Felix Jones and linebacker DeMarcus Ware headlining the list.
Jones suffered a knee injury in Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers, and his status for the New York Giants game is uncertain. Jones rushed for 44 yards on 15 carries against the Panthers before his injury. Starting running back DeMarco Murray, who missed the Panthers game with a foot injury, also missed practice on Wednesday and is unlikely to play against the Giants.
If neither Murray nor Jones can play, then the running duties will fall upon Lance Dunbar and Phillip Tanner. Tanner has 61 yards on 22 carries this season, while Dunbar has yet to receive a carry in the regular season.
DeMarcus Ware missed practice due to illness, although he is expected to play against the Giants. Anthony Spencer, who returned to the field against the Panthers, had full participation in practice on Wednesday.
Phil Costa (ankle), Matt Johnson (hamstring), and Sean Lissemore (ankle) also did not participate in practice on Wednesday. Costa, who suffered a subluxed ankle injury against Carolina, is uncertain for the Giants game.
