Dear Cowboys fans,
↵Peyton Manning will not be the quarterback for the Cowboys. And there's certainly no reason for him to be. It is entirely foolish to ever consider dealing Tony Romo and then signing Manning, despite what some may think.
↵Romo is coming off his best statistical season, and that's despite the fact that his No. 1 wide receiver, Miles Austin, missed considerable time this year.
↵Not only is he coming off his best season, but Romo played well in the two meetings the Cowboys had against the New York Giants -- the same Giants who won the NFC East and are in Super Bowl XLVI. It's certainly not Romo's fault that the Giants made the playoffs over the Cowboys this year.
↵Besides Romo being, you know, a good quarterback and all, there's also the whole potentially career threatening injury with Manning, too.
↵The Cowboys have plenty of cap space to use this offseason, and certainly will make some noise. Just be smart and realistic about how you dream of Dallas using that money.
