Cowboys Vs. Jets: Romo, Miles Austin Connect For Touchdown

The Dallas Cowboys extended their lead against the New York Jets in the third quarter as Tony Romo connected with Miles Austin for a 36 yard touchdown pass, giving the Cowboys a 17-7 lead over the Jets.

The touchdown strike capped off an eight play, 73 yard drive that took just 4:40 off the clock.

Every touchdown or score is important, especially when playing a defense like New York's, but Romo's touchdown strike gave Dallas a two score cushion over the Jets midway through the third quarter. If Dallas' defense can prevent the Jets from scoring on the ensuing drive, the clock will slowly become a factor for Rex Ryan's Jets.
