Cowboys Lose Orlando Scandrick To Injury

The Cowboys entered Sunday night’s opener without Terence Newman and with Mike Jenkins nursing a shoulder injury that has healed enough to allow him to play, but not enough for him to feel no pain on contact. Early in the second quarter, they’ve lost new starter Orlando Scandrick to a right ankle injury.

Trainers looked at Scandrick with his shoe off on the sideline. Soon thereafter he was carted off to the lockerroom. Before hopping on the cart, Scandrick was seen slamming his helmet to the ground in frustration.

Alan Ball was scheduled to serve as the third corner, with Bryan McCann the number four. Both will move up a notch, and the Cowboys are running thin at the position.
