Cowboys Vs. Jets: TV Schedule, Kickoff Time, Odds And More

The Dallas Cowboys will kick off their 2011 season on Sunday night as they head to New Jersey to take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. For the second consecutive year, the Cowboys will be featured as the primetime game on Sunday night.

Being the Sunday night game makes the game incredibly easy to find on TV. The game against the Jets will be broadcast nationally on NBC, with kickoff slated for 8:20 p.m. EDT, 7:20 p.m. CDT. The game will be preceded by NBC's Football Night in America, which will begin at 7 p.m. EDT, 6 p.m. CDT.

Given that the game is being held in New Jersey on September 11, it wouldn't be the least bit surprising if kickoff ran a few minutes later than the scheduled 7:20 CDT start time, as 9/11 tributes are almost certain prior to the game.

If you're not going to be around a television on Sunday night, or simply can't handle the Al Michaels/Cris Collinsworth broadcast duo, you can listen on the radio in Dallas on 105.3 FM.

Odds wise, the Cowboys are pretty solid underdogs. The Jets are either 5.5 or 6 point favorites over the Cowboys, depending on which odds site you use. The over/under is set at 40.5, except on topbet, where the over/under is 41.
