Tony Romo will begin to make his bid to qualify for his first U.S. Open today at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney. Romo's tee time is 7:40 CDT.
↵This is the local level, which is 18 holes. If Romo makes it past this round, he will qualify for the 36-hole sectional qualifier. He qualified for the sectional qualifier last season but had to withdraw during the second 18 because weather delays created a conflict with Cowboys offseason workouts. That will almost certainly not be an issue this year.
↵The U.S. Open will be held June 16-19, so it's unlikely to conflict with football as well, if Romo can somehow qualify. This year's Open will be at Congressional Country Club in Maryland.
