Brian Galliford and SB Nation have produced an early 2012 NFL mock draft, and this No. 1 overall player seems to be a much easier consensus than 2011's No. 1.
1. San Francisco 49ers: Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford. Even with Colin Kaepernick on board, it's tough to imagine Jim Harbaugh turning down any opportunity to reunite with his Stanford protege.
It's another QB-heavy at the top, with USC's Matt Barkley projected at No. 3 to the Redskins and Oklahoma's Landry Jones projected No. 5 to the Bills.
The Cowboys are projected to pick at No. 20 (which seems about right) and to go to a familiar well.
20. Dallas Cowboys: Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas. Running back lacks clarity in Big D, and Davis looks like an ascending star from a school that Jerry Jones is very familiar with.
Dallas obviously hopes that DeMarco Murray gives them a head start on upgrading the position. Most don't see Murray as an impact player, but given their needs and the available players in the third round, they clearly think highly of him.
