The NFL Draft is just a couple weeks away, and the Mock Drafts are starting to pour in faster than ever. There is one name that keeps popping up for the Cowboys, USC's tackle Tyron Smith. Mocking the Draft just came out with their latest edition of the 2011 NFL Mock Draft, and they keep up that trend. Here is their rationale.
Dallas has problems along their offensive line especially at tackle. Smith has the ability to step in right away and start at right tackle with the potential to develop into a left tackle. Smith's athletic ability combined with his balance make him the top tackle prospect in this class.
At this point, you can't throw a rock without hitting a Mock Draft that projects Tyron Smith to the Cowboys. It's one of those picks that happens in every draft when everyone kind of knows how it's going to play that. Having said that, Jerry Jones isn't really the kind of owner who enjoys just going along with conventional wisdom, so we'll have to see if it actually plays out like everyone is expecting it to.
