NFL Hall Of Fame: Deion Sanders Says Being Elected For Hall Of Fame Is 'Unbelievable'

Deion Sanders has never lacked for confidence. Whether it was on the field, or in the press conference room afterward, Deion was the furthest thing from a shrinking violet. According to Brad Townsend of Dallas News.com, that confidence was on display when Sanders reacted to his election into the Hall Of Fame this weekend.

“Nervous? No, I wasn’t,” he said with a smile. “I was more nervous about playing against Snoop Dogg. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, because I am grateful.”

Good save there, Deion. For a second there, it sounded like playing against Snoop Dogg meant more to you than being the Hall, but you really brought it back around there in the end. Sanders was a little bit more outspoken about the honor in his next sound bite.

“I’m excited, are you kidding me?” he said, after taking the stage and hugging fellow Class of 2011 members Marshall Faulk and Shannon Sharpe. “It’s unbelievable. It’s hard to describe the feeling.”

One thing is for sure, the Hall of fame becomes a much more interesting place now that Prime Time is in it.
