The Dallas Cowboys should select Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara, according to the latest 2011 NFL Mock Draft that SB Nation football scribe Brian Galliford posted this morning.
Galliford says Amukamara “[would] have a hard time not improving the Cowboys’ secondary” regardless of where he lines up; Amukamara can play cornerback or safety, and “would fill a huge need for Dallas at the back end of a still-talented defense.”
Amukamara’s name ought to be familiar to Cowboys fans who follow mock drafts. SB Nation and ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. have each previously used Dallas’ first-round pick, ninth overall, on the 21-year-old.
The real draft will happen from April 28-30 at Radio City Music Hall. The Carolina Panthers, with the first pick, are on the clock.
