Here's something that should work out well. Drew Pearson said Thursday afternoon on ESPN 103.3 that he expects Terrell Owens to sign with the Allen Wranglers, the Indoor Football League club he general manages. The agreement would grant Owens a stake in the arena franchise, and Pearson said that talks have progressed far enough that he would be disappointed if things don't work out. Pearson and the Wranglers have been pursuing Owens since at least early November. Asked if the move would create a circus atmosphere, Pearson said, "we want that media circus."
↵This sounds more like an FX or Spike comedy concept than something that could actually happen - at least while Owens is still in his 30's - but if Pearson is correct it actually could go down. I'm only about ten miles away from the Allen Event Center, but I'm only interested if Owens puts on about 40 lbs and there is some potential of this devolving into a Kenny Powers scene.
