Felix Jones Injury Update: Cowboys Running Back Misses Tuesday's Practice

The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for their Week 16 home game against division archrivals the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Eve. Weekday practices have gotten underway and there is some early news about at least one Dallas player nursing an injury.

On Tuesday, Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill sent out the following tweet about running back Felix Jones:

Jones had racked up 131 yards in the Week 15 Cowboys win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his third game of the season with 100 rushing yards or more. Head coach Jason Garrett stated that holding Jones out for the practice was strictly a precautionary measure due to a day-to-day hamstring injury. If he is able to practice the rest of the week he will be good to go for Saturday's game.
