Jerry Jones Is Scared Of The Eagles

Remember when the Eagles were 4-8, the joke of the league, and just another reason why Dream Teams simply don't work in sports? Well, that was two long weeks ago, and now the Eagles are very much alive in the NFC East playoff picture. Jerry Jones is aware of this, and apparently, Jerry Jones is scared of the Eagles.

"Because it is the Eagles and after the butt-kicking they gave us up in Philadelphia, I'm scared," Jones said Tuesday on KRLD-FM. "It's that kind of feeling. The respect turns into being afraid of what they can do to you if you have some breakdowns out there, so you can put that scared there if you want to. I think sometimes I know I do my best when I'm scared."

Jones is rightfully fearful. The Eagles are finally relatively healthy, notably at the quarterback position. Philadelphia went 1-2 with the winner Vince Young filling in for an injured Michael Vick. Vick is back now, and since his return, Philadelphia has defeated Miami and dismantled the likely-playoff bound Jets.

Let's also not forget that the Eagles manhandled the Cowboys earlier this year as well.

Jones is right to be scared of Philadelphia, but the Cowboys are capable of beating them, especially at home. Let's just hope that Rob Ryan and Jason Garrett draw up the right gameplan this week, otherwise Jones' fears may turn into reality.
