Cowboys Vs. Buccaneers Score: Dallas Off To Early 14-0 Lead

The Dallas Cowboys defense came up big on the first drive of this game as Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman took off and ran for seven yards but when he was being tackled he fumbled the ball and linebacker Bradie James recovered the ball at Dallas' 44-yard line.

The Cowboys offense took advantage of that fumble and drove down the field with Tony Romo completing all four of his passes for 40 of the 44 yards on the drive. Romo connected with wide receiver Miles Austin on an 8-yard touchdown pass. The touchdown was under review because Miles caught the ball in the endzone but he did not have control and was being pushed back toward the field of play. After the review, the play was upheld for a touchdown to give Dallas an early 7-0 lead.

The Cowboys defense came back out on the field and forced the Buccaneers on a three-and-out while stopping running back LeGarrette Blount on a third-and-one attempt.

The next offensive drive for the Cowboys resulted in Romo connecting with Dez Bryant for an 8-yard touchdown pass, the catch was not a sure thing as Bryant bobbled the ball before finally making the catch.

So far the Buccaneers defense has not been able slow down any part of the Cowboys offense, and Tony Romo has been accurate by completing seven of eight passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns after the first quarter.
