Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones is back in the starting lineup since rookie DeMarco Murray's season is over as as he fractured his ankle last week against the New York Giants. Jones was the starting back before he missed four games with his own ankle injury. Last week when Jones took over for Murray when he left the game with an injury, Jones had 106 yards on 16 carries and caught six passes for 31 yards.
Now back in the starting roll, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expects Jones to be a workhorse back:
Jerry Jones said that he expects Felix Jones to be a workhorse on Saturday against the Bucs. This should come as no surprise with Felix looking as spry as ever with 16 carries for 106 yards and six catches for 31 yards on Sunday Night Football. The Bucs have one of the worst groups of linebackers in the league that really lack the sideline-to-sideline speed to catch Felix on stretch and sweep plays. Their interior line isn't much better at stopping the run either. In fact, the Bucs just leapfrogged the Panthers to become the best matchup for fantasy running backs.
The Cowboys just signed Sammy Morris but do not look for Morris to take away many carries from Jones this week.
SB Nation's site Fake Teams has Jones ranked as the No. 6 running back and numberFire has Jones rated No. 8.
